Internet Marketing Techniques – Six Simple Steps To Making Your First Million

Posted on July 24th, 2008 by Kevin Blue

What are some of the most important internet marketing techniques that every entrepreneur must develop to achieve a six-figure or even seven-figure income online?

First off, as with any marketing, it is absolutely critical to focus on your ideal prospect and how you can help that individual fulfill their need.

Here are my six steps to making your first million dollars marketing online:

Step 1: Get Inside Your Prospects Head:

This is the foundation of all internet marketing techniques. Marketing on the internet is fundamentally the same as every other form of marketing. The internet is just a new, improved means of communication. Understand your customers and you will do well.

Step 2: Learn How To Write Copy:

This is the million dollar skill. If you master the art of writing copy, you have the power to write your own checks. What does this mean? Learn how to connect with your prospects and customers using the written word. Focus on emotion and write everything as if you are having a conversation with a single person. If you are talking to everybody you are talking to nobody.

Step 3: Get A Basic Website Up And Running:

This is a task that can easily be outsourced, and probably should be. Don’t make things overly flash, simple websites outsell flashy websites almost every time.

Internet Marketing eBooks…The Perfect Funded Proposal

Posted on July 15th, 2008 by Darin Blue

Internet Marketing eBooks are essential for any internet, mlm or network marketer to create when they want to take their business to the next level. They are the perfect funded proposal that work with any type of network marketing or internet business.
If you are unsure what a funded proposal is, no worries, follow this link to learn what a funded proposal is.
Now lets continue on to why internet marketing ebooks are the perfect funded proposal. There are 5 main reasons I will explain:

  1. As demonstrated in the funded proposal link above, they are an excellent way to create an internet marketing system that works on auto-pilot. Selling an inexpensive ( $50 or less) ebook information product up front and reinvesting profits to cover the expenses of advertising creates an automatic and practically FREE marketing model.
  2. Internet marketing ebooks are an opportunity to demonstrate to people that you are an expert or authority on a particular subject. This in turn makes any back-end opportunity easier to sell because they will trust your expertise.
  3. Virtually no overhead or distribution costs. They are cheap to make if you create them yourself and you don’t have to pay for distribution since you can make it easy to download on your website. No paying for cd’s, binders or shipping.
  4. They are affordable for most consumers to buy allowing you to reach the broadest market possible. An internet marketing ebook offered for $27, $37 or even $49  is a lot easier to sell than an opportunity or product for a few hundred dollars. This is important because people are more likely to purchase additional products from someone they already have a relationship with.
  5. Last but certainly not least…INSTANT GRATIFICATION. As soon as someone requests or purchases your internet marketing ebook they can download it instantly. This is crucial for increasing sales conversion because of the human nature of people to buy on impulse!

I hope you can see why internet marketing ebooks are such a powerful internet marketing tool. You create the ebook once and the ebook works for you forever. The value of being seen as an expert is something that can’t be measured and may very well be priceless.

If you have comments or ebooks you would like to share, please comment them below.

MLM Funded Proposal…Auto-pilot for your Marketing

Posted on July 14th, 2008 by Darin Blue

A MLM funded proposal is a marketing and sales method where you sell an inexpensive ($50 or less) front-end product before trying to sell your main business opportunity or back-end product.

The point of selling an inexpensive front-end product is to establish a relationship with the client and create trust. It is also an excellent way to cover advertising expenses and set your marketing on auto-pilot!

For example: If I were trying to sell XYZ Co. 60 inch plasma TVs for $3000, and you have never purchased anything from me or XYZ Co. before. You will be very hesitant and unsure to spend $3000 buying my product. However, if first I sold you a $49 mp3 player that you really liked and used for a while, you would be much more likely to purchase from me again.

So when you decide to purchase a TV, you will be much more likely to buy my TV since you already trust me and XYZ Co. products. Even though the mp3 players may have nothing to do with the quality or value of my 60 inch plasma TVs, I will end up selling more TVs because of the trust and relationship I create by selling more mp3 players.

In addition, when I sell the mp3 players, I use the profit to cover my advertising and marketing costs for the mp3 players. I then grow my advertising and get more exposure for my mp3 players because all costs are covered from reinvesting profits, this in turn equals more exposure and trust for my TVs which are the product where the real money is made!

This cycle repeats itself and that is why it is known as an mlm funded proposal, it’s a self-driven marketing model that grows continuously on auto-pilot!

Read the example twice or comment below if you are still unsure what a MLM funded proposal is. I am happy to respond to any questions or feedback.

3 Easy Steps To Becoming An Expert Copywriter

Posted on July 13th, 2008 by Darin Blue

The 3 easy steps to becoming an expert copywriter are simpler than you might think. It is a tried-and-true writing practice that anyone can do and they have been used by advertising agencies and marketing experts in all forms of business for years.

Before I get to what the 3 steps are though, let me briefly explain what copywriting means. Simply put, copywriting is the act of writing copy…and copy, is anything that is a written verbal message to market or advertise a product or service. So to summarize in one sentance, copywriting is the act of writing sales or promotional materials to get consumers to buy goods or services.

Copywriting is important for one straight-forward reason, to make sales.

Expert copywriters spend less time copywriting than novices and amateurs do and get higher sales conversion rates for people who see their sales letters or advertisements. In other words, they make more money. It pays to know how to write good copy.

So how do they do it?

It’s really quite simple, many of the experts and good copywriters never went to school for writing copy or have PhDs in psychology and consumer spending. They’ve simply followed the 3 easy steps to becoming an expert copywriter I’ve outlined below:

1. Start reading copy - the first and most crucial step is to get an understanding of what copy is and the best way to do that is to read copy. You can find copy in newspapers, magazines and all over the internet. But be careful though, remember that copy is sales writing, don’t spend your time looking over picture ads or coupons because those are not the right kind of copy. For a good example go to www.reversefunnelexperts.com and look over the page. That’s the kind of copy you need to be looking at.

2. Create a SWIPE file - A swipe file for our purposes is a word document or text file where you start to copy (literally) and paste the headlines, sub-heads, introductions, special offers, closing statements, etc… of copy pages you come across on the internet. This is best done by creating a separate file for each part of a page’s copy…for example, create one file exclusively for storing headlines, one for sub-heads, one for introductions and so on…

The point is to make a database for every part of a copy letter. You then use the database you create as a reference for your own ideas and copywriting. Let me be clear though, that you do not just copy and paste other peoples words and use them as your own! That is not what a swipe files is for. Once you do create a swipe file and use it ethically,  you save yourself tons of time creating copy and learn to recognize what good copy is all about.

3. Practice writing copy-So far you haven’t had to do much work except browse the internet, read a little, and copy and paste what you find…see its easy! Now for the hard part that you’ve made simple already by creating a swipe file. You’ve taken advantage of the fact that people have already done the work for you, this is what I call leverage.

No need to re-invent the wheel, your just following in the footsteps of what expert copywriters have been doing for years! Now just piece together a sales letter using your swipe file as a reference and…wala! You’re on your way to becoming and expert copywriter the same way the experts started.

Don’t be nervous about your letter being perfect, no letters ever are! Just start practicing and makes lots of them, follow the 3 easy steps to becoming an expert copywriter and you will be in no time!

Network Marketing Baby BOOMers!

Posted on July 10th, 2008 by Darin Blue

Today I wanted to point out a good reason why you need to quit your job and start developing a network marketing and MLM business.  Okay…okay, maybe you don’t need to run into your workplace tomorrow and tell your boss they’re fired just yet, but let me show you some good information on why the network marketing and the MLM industry is continuing to grow and why it is still not too late to get involved.

Here is one of the main reasons why you need to join a MLM and Network Marketing organization today:

The headline that caught your attention, the network marketing baby boomers. Those notorious baby boomers are making headlines again. The baby boom generation which consists of about 76 million people is errr….or was going to be retiring soon. Well thanks to the credit crisis, stock market plunge, housing bust and oil skyrocket; many baby boomers can’t afford to retire and have to continue to work. Thier savings accounts have hit rock bottom and they are looking for ways to earn supplemental income and work into their retirement years.

The solution?

In step network marketing and mlm. The baby boom generation is a HUGE, PRIME maket to target for anyone interested in recruiting and developing a MLM or network marketing team. It is the perfect solution for an elderly generation that may have no choice but to continue to work.

When you consider the physical ailments that the elderly are more susceptable to, a network marketing work at home business on the internet is ideally suited for them. I mean come on, who do you know that wouldn’t be able to blog about their opportunity maybe once a day, set-up some pay-per-clicks, and upload a video on youtube on how they work from home? Especially if they joined part of a successful team who instructed them step by step on how to do those things. OR better yet they could simply join a company that does all those things for you such as the one at www.reversefunnelexperts.com

Think about it though, network marketing on the internet is everything that seniors and the elderly seek when they are older. Passive, steady, residual income that they can count on receiving over months and years, its similar to a bond just more dependable, especially in todays economy. Also, it is a potentially fun and ejoyable way to stay busy without the pressure of selling in person or working another corporate job to stay afloat.

The bottom line is that network marketing and mlm is going to keep growing at a rapid pace because of the network marketing baby boomers.  And this means there is still time for you get out there and get your piece of the pie so you can start livng the way you truly want to. If you are already involved in network marketing and mlm then good for you, focus in on the baby boom phenomena and earn profits for a long time to come.

Network Marketing on Twitter = Social Proof Made Easy

Posted on July 9th, 2008 by Darin Blue

Social proof of the success of your business or of yourself as a leader and expert can be shown to people by network marketing on twitter.  I recently just signed up for a Twitter account to explore the possibilities and potential of having a profile with Twitter. After learning the ins-and-outs and doing some research I’ve figured out why having an account is important.

Network Marketing on Twitter is important because it’s a place to show brief glimpses into your own life and into the lives of the people who care about and follow you . Based on how the format of Twitter works, you are able to give a more personal and human feeling to yourself and following.

This is true because of how Twitter works, a brief summary of Twitter is a social networking site where people stay in touch.  Sound’s familiar right? Same idea as Myspace and Facebook but a different twist.

Well, the difference is that Twitter offers fewer bells and whistles, it has much more limited functionality in terms of design, picture posting, and commenting. Twitter (and your personal twitter page you create) is structured similar to a blog. The idea is you post small events (they have a 164 word count limit per post) from your every day life for readers (or followers as Twitter calls them) to track and see what it is you do throughout the day. That’s it…just a few posts a day to get a behind the scenes look at what you do.

So whats the point?

The point of network marketing on Twitter is to allow readers, friends, family or even your downline a closer more personal look into the everyday things that you do.

Do the little things I do matter?

Yes! Absolutely they do, they are important for developing strong relationships with the people who care about or follow you. This is particularly important for someone who wants to be seen as a leader or expert. By allowing people to see how you do things throughout the day and how you structure your life, the easier you are to follow. Not only are you easier to follow but you are also developing a strong bond with your followers and readers which is great no matter what you do. This is particularly important and influential though if you are trying to build a team of people and teach them how to be successful.

So my advice to anyone who wants to be a leader or expert is to sign up for a twitter account. I just did and I’m looking forward to connecting with people on a more personal level. It’s easy and only takes a minute maybe two. By network marketing on Twitter you’re setting yourself up for long term success by establishing more personal relationships.

Network Marketing Keywords…The who, what, when, where & why?

Posted on July 8th, 2008 by Darin Blue

Network marketing keywords are the very important elements to any sales letter, capture page, website, youtube video, e-zine and last but certainly not least…blog! ;) No matter how you are communicating with your target audience, every communication needs to begin with keywords in mind. Let me explain using the 5 W’s: who, what, when, where and why.

WHO are they for?

Network marketing keywords are for the serious entreprenuer who wants take their business to the top by maximizing the return on their efforts. They are for network marketers who want their web pages, articles and videos to be at the top of Google organic results.

WHAT do they do?

Network marketing keywords focus your page, writing or video on a single topic and make sure you fill any niche you’ve targeted. Focus in on a specific keyword or phrase throughout your writing and you will be at the top of search results in no time.

WHEN should I use them?

Focusing on keywords and keywords phrases should be done EVERY time you create any letter, page or video! No matter what the circumstance, communication channel or situation…always focus on keywords.

WHERE do you put them?

Some of the most powerful places to put keywords include but are not limited to:

  • Web page domain
  • Site URL
  • <Title> tags of web pages/blogs
  • Header <h1>,<h2> and <h3> tags
  • Image descriptions and <alt> image tags
  • In the very beginning and very end of copy or web pages
  • Meta description tags
  • Sprinkled throughout text, once per paragraph
  • In video titles and tag descriptions

WHY use network marketing keywords?

Use network marketing keywords to achieve the highest search results and generate tons of FREE traffic. They are something everyone needs to be doing and a great way to focus in on niche topics to drive traffic to your topic. When you are focused on certain network marketing keywords your communication satisfies the need your audience was looking for.

Test: Practice what you preach - Can you identify the keyword phrase I used as the focus of this post?

Simple Easy Network Marketing Strategies – Who Else Wants More Money With Less Work?

Posted on July 7th, 2008 by Kevin Blue

Old school prospecting methods are as dead as the dinosaurs. Nobody wants to harass friends and family members, put fliers on cars, or spend their life cold-calling anymore. Simple easy network marketing systems are the wave of the future and they are picking up speed fast.

What does this mean? And what is simple easy network marketing?

That’s a good question. If you’ve been through the torture town of using the old prospecting methods for any period of time you definitely know what it isn’t.

The truth is, marketing online doesn’t have to be difficult. Technology has made it easier than ever to make boatloads of cash online.

By leveraging technology in your home business, you can multiply your time and energy into thousands of dollars, almost effortlessly.

The core of your online marketing system will consist of three main components:

1)      Opt-in forms.

2)      Email auto-responder.

3)      A good sales letter.

The idea is, do the work well once, and it will work for you virtually forever, pulling in profits on autopilot.

Better yet, have someone else do the work once, and pay a small fee to use their system.

Simple easy network marketing systems are popping up all over the place because of their success, with one of the most successful being Ty Coughlin’s Reverse Funnel System. This is the system I use, and I’ll tell you why.

Ty spent over $20,000 per page building one of the highest converting capture pages, sales letters, and auto-responder email series on the planet—which means that I don’t have to, and neither do you or anyone else that uses his system. My team and I are converting over 30% of our prospects into sales on the back-end, which is unreal.

If you’re serious about building a large organization, you might want to use a simple easy network marketing system like Ty’s that does practically all of the work for you (and your downline). These types of systems are picking up a ton of momentum, and rightly so with users experiencing such phenomenal results.

Remember, the real leverage in building your business comes from duplication. If what you are doing to add more reps to your business is difficult, don’t expect to see a whole lot of success and duplication from your downline. The levels of duplication we are seeing with these new turn-key, proven marketing systems today were unheard of ten years ago.

The entire sales process has been broken down into a science. Remember, at the end of the day, your prospects will be asking themselves, can I see myself being successful in this business? A simple easy network marketing system is the closest thing to guaranteed results and makes the answer to that question a no-brainer.

If you are a serious entrepreneur and are looking for a team that will challenge you and train you to make $5-10K per week, fill out an application at www.FunnelSystemExperts.com

How Network Marketing Works - The Business Model

Posted on July 7th, 2008 by Darin Blue

New to Network Marketing? Lets go over How Network Marketing Works:

A brief summary: network marketing revolves around a direct sales business model. A simple definition of direct sales is a business to consumer sales strategy focused on eliminating the middle man.

However, when applied to network marketing the business model changes slightly. Network marketing organizations rely upon independent representatives to sell, market and promote their products. This business model benefits both the company and the independent sales representative…

…How Network Marketing Works for the company:

  1. If sales representatives don’t make sales then the company never has to pay them
  2. The network marketing company spends little or no money on advertising since the independent representative market their product for them

…How Network Marketing Works for the independent sales representative:

  1.  The sales rep is an entreprenuer & grow their own business opportunity however they want!
  2. Sales reps are accountable to no one but themselves, you are your own boss!
  3. Money earned on sales is often times tied into a residual income program where you continue to earn money from a sale for weeks or months after it’s made.

As you can see, the benefits to being a part of a network marketing organization are balanced between company and sales representative. The business model is quite simple and straight forward. Network Marketing is a proven business model that has been continuing to grow at a rapid rate as more people come to understand it.

How Has (Network) Marketing and Public Relations Changed?

Posted on July 3rd, 2008 by Darin Blue

As most of people are aware, ( and I’m sure you are since you are reading this blog!) the methods and strategies for effective marketing have changed drastically with the spread and increased use of the internet by people.

The internet is now the most effective marketing strategy and yields the greatest return on investment for network marketers.

I’ve take an excerpt of a list from a book I recently read called ”The New Rules of Marketing and PR” by David Meerman Scott who is a marketing and thought leadership expert. The selected points from his book describe and show you what marketing and public relations mean in the 21st century. For every entry where you see “marketer” or “marketing” I’ve simply added “network” before in parenthesis to show how the rules apply to network marketing online.

  •
    • (Network) Marketing is more than just advertising
    • You are what you publish
    • People want authenticity, not spin
    • People want participation, not propoganda
    • (Network) Marketers must shift their thinking from mainstream marketing to the masses to a strategy of reaching vast numbers of undeserved audiences via the Web
    • Blogs, podcasts, e-books, news releases, and other forms of online content let (Network Marketing) organizations communicate directly with buyers in a form they appreciate

I chose these specific points for a reason (If you are unclear on a point read the list again or comment your question), they ALL apply to your network marketing business and focus on communicating with people in a more personal, honest manner. They emphasize the use and power of new marketing techniques such as blogs, podcasting, e-books, and online news releases. The old methods of network marketing are dead, no more: mass mailing, cold calls or meeting rallys.

If you don’t know how to apply the new methods and marketing techniques though don’t worry. That’s why FREE Network Marketing is here. Subscribe below and my brothers and I will be teaching you all the cutting edge strategies.
